Meet our Founders

Tim Borruel: Tim W. Borruel, M.A., who holds a master's degree in education and several teaching credentials, served as a teacher, coach, counselor and administrator for the William S. Hart School District for 10 years prior to creating Sunshine. He has focused his career on creating educational programs that combine character education and academic excellence. Mr. Borruel also has a passion for helping families in their pursuit of raising the next generation -leaving a legacy of excellence for their children.

Donna Borruel: Donna Borruel, a former credentialed elementary school teacher from the Sulphur Springs School District, has taught almost every grade at the elementary level, including preschool. She graduated with honors in education and has an extensive background in child development. Mrs. Borruel is the pioneer of Sunshine's preschool curriculum and the curriculum for Legacy Private Academy.
