Tardies
If students are tardy to school, they must first come to the office to check in before going to their classroom. One of the office staff will give the student an admittance slip. There are two kinds of tardies: excused and unexcused. Dental, doctor and court appointments are reasons for excused tardies. In addition, emergencies, traffic due to an accident, and other difficulties beyond the student's and driver's control will be excused. All others are unexcused tardies. If students have more than five absences and/or tardies in the one trimester, a letter will be sent home to parents advising them of the school policy and of the importance of good attendance.
